If Tampa bans panhandlers, where will they go?

TAMPA, FLORIDA -- The days of seeing panhandlers on busy streets in Tampa could be numbered, as the city council is moving forward with a partial ban.

That has some asking: where they will end up?

10 News found out there's one place that could see a major surge. For eight months, Mark Long has called the streets of Pasco County home. As he tries to survive by panhandling, his corner could soon get much more crowded.

"What would I do? I don't know," Long said.

If Tampa goes ahead with a ban, the city would join St. Pete, Bradenton and Lakeland in making panhandling illegal.

3. As you treat the least among you, you treat me...
My guess is Tampa is the worst city in America.

Why not outlaw hunger? how about joblesness, yea~! outlaw that! make them get work the lazy assholes!

Y'all know how well your shoplifting, burglary, theft, jaywalking ordinances have stopped those problems, Just criminalize being poor!!! Show the obviously staged video of the panhandler walking several blocks to his fancy cadillac and driving away...yes they ALL are lying cons who stand in freezing weather asking for spare change, they stand in blazing heat asking for the pennies in your cars cup holder...make their presence illegal.

Tampa, Fl, COME ON DOWN! You win the "F**K Jesus and his teachings award"

4. They could come out here and get paid.
San Francisco pays the homeless $400/month.

6. Hey, if I am poor enough to panhandle then would a stay in jail with
meals, a bed and medical care be so bad? I would take them up on their offer.

10. So how many people are going to get themselves arrested to protest this?
A couple thousand people getting arrested and refusing to bond out would close all their police stations overnight.

I'm well over 1,000 miles away and so broke I'd have to panhandle to make it down there.
