Koch Brothers Conference
Today, I went to Palm Springs today with my family. We went around the city and check out the sites. Upon getting back to the car, I went to the local newspaper website and I dug a discovery. It looks like the Koch Brothers were in town and were up no good. From the http://www.mydesert.com/article/20110122/NEWS0301/101220316/Secretive-8216-billionaire-caucus-here-drawing-scrutiny?odyssey=tab">topnews|text|Frontpage|Palm Spring Desert Sun

"A private meeting of elite Republican donors in Rancho Mirage is sparking a nationwide discussion about the influence money has on politics and governing.

The four-day gathering that starts Jan. 29 is organized by the billionaire brothers Charles and David Koch, who are known to back conservative causes.
It marks the eighth time they've held an event in the Coachella Valley, but the first time their efforts are being widely publicized.
Though organizers have tried to keep their long weekend retreat under wraps, a leaked copy of the invitation says participants will focus on policies to combat “the most critical threats to our free society.”

It looks like the Koch brothers are looking for threats to the "millionaries and billionaries". And we know that "free society" means more government control and that means putting these guys in check.

7. I always think of that scene in the Dark Knight where the Joker burns a huge pile of cash.
"This isn't about money - it's about sending a message. Everything burns!"

3. Beck criticizes Soros. These guys could buy and sell Soros a hundred times over.
They are threats to everything decent about this nation, covering up their plots with donations to museums et al.

Chicken feed to them. They want an authoritarian, hierarchal nation with gated communities for the filthy rich and the rest of us serving them.

They're pretty damned close to getting their wishes.
