2. The first Iraq war is a bit embarrassing now
I mean, all that bluster about the sacred duty to uphold the U.N. and the rule of international law by Bush I, which was spat upon by Bush II when he invaded...

It was also Jan 17 1991. that day Vietnam vets were being admitted to the hospital. Many suicidal. Some had son's in the military.
About ;6 months to a year later we started to receive Gulf War Vets. They had to do what I thought was atrocious things. the stories I heard have not been as bad was what we have hear from Afghanistan and Iraq.
I'll never forget it.

Recently I learned from local Vietnam Vets at an event with Vets for Peace that they began coming to Vets for Peace right after the start of the Gulf war. It torn open old wounds and they found understanding.

I'm so glad these Vietnam Vets found help but it shows you how long it might take for the Gulf War and the Iraq and Afghanistan War Vets to hit their walls and need help.

i keep expecting it to be mentioned on the News but I didn't hear it.
