Conservative House Republicans unveiled a proposal to slash federal spending by $2.5 trillion over the next 10 years, taking aim at rail transit, goat farmers and a lot of programs in between.

The keystone of the plan is the reduction of non-security, non-veteran spending to 2008 FY levels when the continuing resolution expires in March. Spending would then drop to 2006 FY levels until 2021.

To further cut spending, the Republican Study Committee targeted more than 50 programs that would get the ax.

3. As long as congress likes corp money so much
why don't we stop all money for congress and let the corps pay them straight up.
Why should we pay for people that will not work for their employers??

STOP ALL MONIES FOR CONGRESS ......... they created all the problems

quinn raised personal and business taxes to cover outstanding debts(my wife may get her pay raise after two yrs). although there may be revisting of benefits to service workers at least we are not cutting nor destroying our unions.

oh yes... quinn won because the unions got out the votes and he`s the only democratic governor in the rust belt.
