Texas Gov ask Republican voters to quit their state jobs
Governor calls on Republican voters to resign from State Government.

"It is only fair that teachers and state employees who voted Republican should be the first to lose their tax funded jobs."

1. Perry is either losing his mind or he thinks that his constituents
have lost theirs. At some point it would seem that Texas voters would realize that their Governor is not leading them well.

8. Sure. One of the few nonhypocritical things he ever said.
Doubt it will win him many elections though.

3. K&R- This should become a nationwide movement...if you don't believe in government,
don't work for the government at any level, and don't use ANY government programs, such as Social Security and Medicare, public schools, roads and bridges. Come on GOPers, stand up for your beliefs and show everyone how you feel!!!11!!

Probably be a stampede of them giving up their government pensions, too...

5. Considering that Texas has been under Republican control for how long??
Over 15 years and what have they accomplished in that time under their control?

And how does Bush become President when the only elected office he held was Governor for less than 6 years?

24. The scary ones at the top could probably resign any time they felt like it.
I refer to those who have infiltrated our military with an Xtian agenda, and have been busy converting our military to Crusaders for Jebus.

29. I met a guy where I keep the sailboat raging about Obama being a
socialist. This guy has a 42' cabin cruiser that he bought with money he earned while he works for Lockheed writing proposals for them to get government jobs. He just doesn't get that the taxpayers payed for that boat. The disconnect is unreal.
Also a big Palin supporter. Go figure.

7. Oh really?
Does that mean Mr. Perry will start self-paying that $10,000 a month the taxpayers shell out for his temporary housing? And how about that $115,000 a year salary he gets from the state? Is he going to refuse that?

31. This is too good to be true. Clues to SATIRE
Grammatical errors and breezy abbreviations: "Texas Gov ask Republican voters to quit their state jobs" (askS)

Giveaway: "Labels: gop hypocrisy, Humor, satire"

Besides, while Goodhair is no stranger to saying bizarre things, he is far more estranged from Truth.

32. I appreciate satire that makes Repukes sound reasonable, because then they have to spin
and convince people that they really aren't.

This would be a good message to come from Governor Dayton of Minnesota, with the GOP-led legislature proposing state job cuts.
