Why, she told us that the space program was a FEDERAL program! Here I was, wondering why my CT space program hasn't gotten (literally) off the ground yet...

Peggy is such a treasure trove of information for us. Really, what would we do without her instruction and wisdom! All these ingrates here on DU...it's terrible...

5. Yes, she was quite explicit. It was "rightfully" a federal program, a program
that the federal program does best.

She acted like she was telling us something new and interesting...I groaned when I saw her on the set...she was there to talk about the SOTU, expert that she is!

Actually, I got a big laugh out of it cuz I knew she was "serious."

dumb as she is.

4. NC was first in flight (it says so on our license plates),
ergo our space program is far ahead of either CT's or CO's.

8. Okay, I apologize ahead of time
to all Californians, but I think they have a lock on the "space race." Ever hear a group of Valley Girls at a mall? Spacey, fer shur.

7. We are truly thankless
It can't be easy to scrape oneself off one's Egyptian cotton sheets, throw on a smart blazer/sweater/pashmina combo, hop in the back of a Lincoln town car and arrive at 30 Rockefeller Plaza just in time to enlighten the unwashed - without so much as a one drop of Gin! The horror! Poor Peggy!

10. After one of her previous appearances where she got snarky with another guest,
talking about the size of his brain, I think she got word to lay off the sauce before she comes on the show...

19. But how are we going to launch anything ourselves?
We have a $25 billion hole in our state budget. Unless an asteroid made of rhodium smashes into our state, where are we gonna get the money to build our own spacecraft, let alone our own spaceport?

20. Governor Goodhair does not speak for this ornery Texas Democrat
We've been a republic. Not a very successful republic, mind you, but a republic nonetheless. We do better as a state. A lot of Texans will never admit this, but one look at our history should be enough to convince anyone.
