2. Right, so fighting for life issues regarding the working class is now "extreeeeeme!"
And hiring a champion of job offshoring to oversee your economic council (whose objective is supposedly to get Americans working again) is perfectly OK.

It's Morning in America. Again.

19. just food for thought, Keith gave Ed, Rachel and Lawrence
a platform, so for those who want to stop watching, why do that when Keith worked so hard to advocate for them to be televised.

5. Interesting.
I think Keith has the potential to become extreme. I hope he reaches that full potential. All of the great leaders in history have been accused of being extremists; many more good leaders have, too.

11. She has made a career by being a complacent mouthpiece.
She has never, ever been anything even slightly edgy. And she specialized in always making the right people very comfortable. That would be the executives. That's how she made her career.

So of course she would think that KO is extreme.

And, of course, by bashing KO she is making executives even more comfortable with her because it reinforces her standing as not one of those people on the left.

She had to make it perfectly clear to them that she isn't like him, just to make sure that her job is safe.

13. She should have him on the show and ask him what kind of tree he'd like to be
Walters was widely lampooned in 1981 (and often since) for having posed the question, during an interview with actress Katharine Hepburn: "If you were a tree, what kind would you be?" But as she has often pointed out (and the video clips confirm: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_X2Xd1iOmM) Hepburn initiated the discussion by saying that she would like to be a tree, and Walters merely followed up with the question, "What kind of a tree?"

27. I would be outraged, but instead I am very sad.
Keith practiced old fashioned fact checked journalism. As a matter-of-fact his personal politics would have been considered moderate thirty years ago. When that is considered extreme, we are in trouble. Thirty years ago Barbara Walters wasn't considered a credible journalist but a tabloid hack. This is why Gilda Radner used to make fun of her in her Babawawa segment on SNL.
