Scalia’s Speech to Closed-Door Tea Party Caucus Session Is Inappropriate Political Activity
Right on the heels of questions about Justices Scalia and Thomas' connections to the Koch brothers, and then of Justice Thomas not reporting his wife's income, today it's Justice Scalia who will attend and address a meeting of the House Tea Party caucus. Have we moved beyond poor judgment to outright prohibited activity?

Why aren't these bastards being impeached?

2. Because they can behave with impunity
This is what happens when our 'leadership' is not held to account. "It would be too much of a distraction.'

4. Because fat Tony is a "made" man.
Who is going to judge the judges? Do you really think any "law respecting" R would vote for impeachment?

5. It is because he is an R ...
if one of the D SCJs did even a fraction of the crape that Thomas and Scalia do, there would have already been impeachment hearings on it, and it would be the buzz of the whole "liberal media" and country ...

6. Absolute Power corrupts absolutely.
Nobody has the will to make a move against them. Where is it suppose to start? The House? Well, now is the time to shove it in their faces.

3. It is a concern that the highest court in the land would choose to attend such an extravaganza...a
And perhaps is prohibited by law? If not, it should be. The Congress can pass that law and the Supreme Court can rule on its legality.

7. Since the Supreme Joke appointed Bush* president, they've screwed America.
Look at the results of their work: 9/11, two illegal and immoral wars, one recession, one depression and the bankster bailout. It's all bad. Screw these Supreme Court Jesters.

The answer is in the article you cited.

The code applies to all federal judges, but is not binding on the nine Supreme Court justices...

The law needs to be changed.

There probably wasn't a need for the code to apply to SC Justices before Reagan and the Bushes started appointing them to the bench.

There clearly is now.

11. while they can't be impeached for this bit of serious ugliness --
the opposing party -- if not too corrupt would be breathing fire all over this.

and doing something other than a kabuki dance.

15. Only reason they can't be is because the Repugs have the majority
in the House. I say crap like this is certainly impeachable.
