Glenn Beck: “Keith Olbermann Is The Biggest Pain In The Ass In The World”
Today on his radio show, Glenn Beck and his crew laughed at how Beck accurately predicted Keith Olbermann would eventually be fired from MSNBC if Comcast took over. They found it even funnier that reports were trying to suggest Comcast had nothing to do with the decision, when instead Beck claimed since Olbermann is so impossible to work with, clearly Comcast wanted nothing to do with him.

Although Beck didn’t want Olbermann fired, since he believes in “more speech, not less,” he couldn’t resist pointing out that a company might “handle mediocre ratings, if the guy’s not a total pain in the ass.” However, as Beck explicitly stated, all reports he’s seen suggested “Keith Olbermann is the biggest pain in the ass in the world.”

Also on the receiving end of some ridicule was Olbermann’s replacement Lawrence O’Donnell who Beck predicted “nobody is going to watch because he’s just boring – and I can get that from CNN.” Will Beck’s television forecast be right again, or might O’Donnell actually be a more formidable ratings force in the future?

That's the other thing I hate - the chortling from these RW aholes today. IMHO MSNBC should've taken a lesson from Ailes. You can bet Beck, O' Reilly and Hannity are as big of divas as KO but Ailes puts up with them.

2. Beck
Is a 'showman' who has been given a 'news format' to rant and rave and rage. All he knows is glitter, sparkle, and emotion - zero substance. So while he's laughing at K.O., and mocking O'Donnell for being 'boring' - he better figure out how to get more and more outrageous on his show to keep his viewers happy . . . that's really all he's good for - jumping through hoops of fire you know?

4. Though MSNBC is only a drop in Comcast's purchase, I wonder with
all of this negativity if they will have buyer's remorse.

5. Cold day... I agree with Beck!
No - I don't agree that Keith is a pain in the ass. Anyone who would email their fans back during show breaks is NOT an asshole (yes, he used to email me back during shows).

However, I agree that O'Donnell is exceedingly boring. I'll also add that he's too centrist for me, as well. I'm not saying he's not intelligent and doesn't have a lot of insight - he does - but he's rather... I don't know... the type who seems to look down his nose at us working stiffs.

7. +1 on O' Donnell
I don't think he can keep all of KO's audience. MSNBC was banking on that he got as good a ratings as KO during the time KO was off last year due to KO's father's illness and death.

But it was a Shuster pointed out - KO had a great framework of producers and also the fact we knew KO would eventually be back.

I'll still watch MSNBC but I won't make it appointment TV as I did with KO (and sometimes Rachel). What I'll probably do is what I do now & bring the DVD recording from previous night & kind of half listen to it as I work.

The only appt TV I have now is mostly The Daily Show & Colbert Report.

23. Makes me think this whole deal was brewing for months in advance. What with O'Donnell subbing for KO

during his fathers illness, then getting his own show, then getting Keith's timeslot.

Have we heard any word from rachel about what happened to Keith?

24. O'Donnell is NOT a centrist. He is a socialist
both self-proclaimed and recognized as by others.

6. Comcast did not fire KO because he was hard to work with!

I can't believe everyone's falling for that lie!

Comcast killed two birds with one stone. They had two targets, the internet and MSNBC.

They want to destroy both of them because those are the only two places the left resides.

It's pretty simple.

Comcast intends to silence the left completely.

13. Thank you! Comcast wants to shut down any free thought and interchange of ideas...
...including, but not limited to, Comcast as the epitome of corporate evil.

12. I must give credit where credit is due....
Glenn Beck would know all about "pains in the ass", I'm suprised Preparation H isn't sponsoring his show since he was probably a frequent user.

All kidding aside, where would Glenn Beck be if he hadn't switched to Fox? He hasn't done anything special beside preach to the choir.

Keith Olbermann actually made something out of nothing.
