A Visual History of Koch Conservatism, from John Birch to Cato
Want to explain to your friends and relatives how the Tea Party is corporately-financed and "grassroots" right-wing activity is not spontaneous? Here's a graphic to get you started.

This infographic on the Koch brothers' long history of ultra-conservative activity and financial support for the most extreme of right-wing activity comes to us via The Other 98%. Download it and spread it around!

2. I used to live in Wichita, KS...
Which is where they have a large corporate presence (it's the UGLY, hulking black building off K-96 and Woodlawn). Charles Koch has his fingers in at least half the cookie jars in town, including Wichita State's basketball arena. I swear the guy must own half the town - no wonder they're so mired in Repuke and Teabagger rhetoric out there. He threw tons of money at McLame and Sarah "Me! Me! Me!" Palin in 2004, and supposedly has incentives for his employees to toe the company line.

4. Isn't there a Boeing plant there. Some wacko RW relative sends many
RW emails using a signature about tankers or something.

5. It was Boeing...
Now it's Spirit Aerosystems, which is a subcontractor for Boeing.

I couldn't handle living there anymore. There were too many RW nutjobs around, and the Tiller murder was one of the last straws for me - I had to pass the church where that happened every day on my way to work. I didn't like some of the things that were being fed into my kids from school and other people in the community. And I can't tell you how many dirty looks I got from random people in parking lots because of little things like my John Kerry bumper sticker back in '04. It got really old hearing people talking under their breath about "those damn (whoevers)," usually a dig at people who were minorities, non-Protestant, GLBT, immigrants, or anything not in the Reich Wing lovefest. There was a surprising amount of hate in that town, if you weren't a conservative Repuke sympathist. I certainly don't miss it.
