MSNBC has really messed up

I'm trying hard to watch Cenk, but it's difficult. I'd rather watch Rachel for a two hour block.

1. MSNBC tries to airbrush Cenk and in doing that, they take out everything

that makes him interesting.

I don't know if it's the lighting or the makeup or what. But his TYT's segments are much better than his MSNBC segments.

I don't watch TV, so I haven't seen his new show, but I figured they'd try to fix his chortling "you've gotta be kidding me" Regular Joe persona. Dumb move.

22. Rachel's first couple of shows were horribly produced

The lighting was awful, there were audio glitches all over the place. I don't know who they have running their segments behind the scenes for new shows but they suck at it.

28. My lightbulb for today is that Cenk is better in the shot they use

at TYTs, where you can see the whole Cenk behind the desk, and not better at COMCASTNbc, where you usually only see the Cenk head. :)

3. It's hard to make a show

I have a feeling it will get better as they fill in the infrastructure around him. Needless to say right now they are a little overextended. That was the big question is why didn't they leave the countdown infrastructure in place and then place someone in it, rather than have a massive shake up? My only guess is not using countdown format was part of the deal with KO.

But I'm guessing the majority of those who don't like Cenk are 40+ y/o who care little for Cenk's constant critiques Obama. Just keep in mind that is the younger folks watching TYT on mass that got Cenk this far. If you don't like him, then I'm sorry. He plays to a different group, a younger audience. I do see how KO resonated well with the old school liberals, but I don't recon Cenk is that kind of guy.

That said, I'm hella glad he is on primetime, I just hope he stays true to what got him this far...which I trust he will.

On a different note, for once I'm sad that I can't get MSNBC in the UK, oh well.

I didn't catch his show today, but given the suddenness of the move I'm sure it will have a chance to get better in the days and weeks to come. (I know he's filled in a number of times, but even so ...)

He shut down that dude from GOProud so hard I felt bad for the guy, and the interview with Frances Fox Piven was really good until it randomly ended. Also, who doesn't love Robert Reich? I think Cenk was a little nervous, but I still found the show very enjoyable.
