Did anyone catch the last couple minutes of Cenk? |
|
Filling in for Ed. VERY awkward pause while he was interviewing Frances Pevin. Embarrassing, really. I felt sorry for her.

3. Why are you disparaging him? He is obviously under pressure. |
|
If you you don't like him say so and suggest who would be better.

5. No one is disparaging him.... |

Piven was in the middle of saying something and she stopped, then she looked over to her right and didn't say anything else - that is how the segment ended. Did you watch it?
And why would you think that Cenk would be under pressure? He has filled in at MSNBC 'many' times before.

I like Cenk. Other OPs are disparaging him. I have no idea why this extremely awkward moment occurred. It could very well not be his fault. By the way, I said exactly what I meant and don't need any "help" doing so, so please deal with my words and not your projections.

they told her in her earpiece the end of the segment was coming up and that distracted her. I don't know, I thought Cenk handled it pretty gracefully under the circumstances.

8. Yes he did, and she has probably experienced so many death threats that |
|
she is probably startled easily these day. I think that what Beck is doing with her is criminal - public harassment, possibly public assault. Telling people that they should "shoot in the head" people like her.
Why is he getting away with this??? His rantings sounds like they are coming from a lunatic. It's a matter of time before someone unhinged carries out his suggestions. He should be held at least partly responsible. Aren't there laws against this???

It is his show now. Weak start, but he was obviously nervous. She caught him off guard and he got confused. Very poor interview of the gay conservative, Cynk got owned by him.

10. I agree that the gay teabagger cleaned Cenk's clock. I was stunned. |
|
Cenk just let the bagger mouth off all types of drivel without shutting him up. Ed would have shut the guy up. Now Cenk is going to have to go soft with Obama for a week to make up for getting owned by the log cabiner. I could not believe Cenk let the log cabiner lay every ill that gays face at the feet of democrats, while letting the rightwing, gay hating republican party walk scot free, un-freaking real the Uygur let him get away with that.

12. Cenk is FILLING IN it's not his own show yet. |
|
One of the DU'ers that work with Cenk just said on another thread that Cenk is 'filling-in' and it's not his own show yet. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=439&topic_id=264870&mesg_id=264931

He was in Miami for a conference and not 30 Rock (they had massive technical issues, prompter kept freezing, audio cut out during that last interview, etc.). He's flying out Wednesday to host at 6pm EST in NYC, so jet lag and new studio aside I expect it'll be better by the end of the week.
But yes, generally speaking he's much better unscripted and being himself. He needs to adjust to reading off a teleprompter.
