Bachmann's Real Reason for Giving Alternative Response to SOTU

Does anyone else at DU think Michele Bachmann's real reason for giving an alternative response to the State of the Union Address is so that she can get more attention? I do not believe that Bachmann is giving her response in order to give the Tea Party View. It seems that Bachmann's name has not been mentioned in the media in the last few weeks. This might be her way of getting her name back in the news.

Another reason for Bachmann giving an alternative response might be that she is trying to give the Republican House leadership an "f you" for not giving her a leadership position for the 112th Congress. At the very beginning of the 112th Congress Bachmann tried to gain either the Caucus Chairman position or some other chairman position; however, she was not able to get that position.

we all need to vociferously protest. We already are going to hear the official Repub. response. Why should hers also be covered????That's two Republican responses.
