The continuing adventures of "my Dad the Teabagger"
Edited on Fri Dec-17-10 08:47 AM by Robyn66
You know, you guys are going to stop believing I am telling you the truth about this guy but I swear this is my father and what he says!

So when we last left him, my stepmother was just laid off just before Thanksgiving. He was panicking (the same way he does when he loses the tv remote) about how he could get all that evil gummint assistance that he is always complaining about. Now, let me digress a moment. My father is in NO danger of losing anything. He is fine financially. There is no mortgage on his house and he went out and bought an ultra huge motor home for the tax shelter.

SO anyway, he calls me up and I say to him. "Well Dad, looks like you got your tax cuts"

Dad says "Goddamn welfare queens on unemployment are ruining this country."

Me-"But don't you understand the major bulk of the bill is tax cuts for millionaires and billionaires who aren't going to benefit, who aren't going to create jobs but this will inflate the deficit?"

Dad-"How damn long are we supposed to support these people? THey have to get up off their ass and get a job. They just figure they don't have to go get a job because unemployment is just going to be extended forever. That's what you Democrats want to do, give my money away."

Me-"ok Dad, btw, how is your wife's job search gone so far?"

Dad-" She's taking time off till the middle of January before she starts looking. I told her she deserved a vacation"

2. You should just throw bizarre statements out there to see if he even hears you.
"I had sex with a chocolate donut this morning."

"<Wife> and I are going to drive to Hawaii next month."

"Judge rules that Purdue chickens may form union."

5. Your Dad is an asshole.
And family or not, you don't do him or anyone else any favors by not telling him so.
