the tax cuts are not paid for, so i hope you invest that money wisely because you will be paying back the Chinese people with 3.1% interest down the road. This was a bad deal (middle class tax cuts too) when Bush passed it and its still a bad deal now Obama has continued it. We used to be called tax and spend democrats but now we are afraid to do the taxing part. Socialist European countries have it so good because they pay very high taxes (even the middle class)and receive the reward back in govt programs. This is not what we r doing, very soon the interest on these loans will start t drag us all down.
All i can say is invest that $2600 very wisely cos you or your kids will be paying that back.

10. And just think of all that quality time we'll be able to spend with our families instead of |
|
doing the grunt/shit work for the campaign. Now that is a family value. Of course, we could be spending that extra time trying to find work or simply trying to figure out how to survive.

And I will donate NADA, to whichever primary Democratic candidate may result in a GOP take-over in 2012. Translation to the short-sighted screamers: I'm putting my money on Obama!"

I still don't understand the shock some people have at his presidency.
I admit I'm a major cynic about all politicians, but how could you be surprised?

21. Like I said, I'm a major cynic with regards to politicians. |
|
My expectations were pretty low, but he's still 10x better than McCain.
We elected someone with little political experience, no knowledge of how to make deals in DC, surrounded by corp interests, and committed to working with the other party. What we got is about what I expected in his first two years.
On the flip side, he is learning on the job, so I expect he'll get better over time. He'll learn how to work with congress, he'll learn who to trust and who to avoid, he'll gain experience. It'll get better.
It's odd for me to be the optimist here...I'm usually the one who believes the Douglas Adams quote..."Anyone who is capable of getting themselves made President should on no account be allowed to do the job."

|
That's more money than what I earned this year. You should spend it instead. Hopefully it will create some jobs. Or you can give it to an organization that helps the homeless...
