America in decline... and Foreign Policy Magazine
This is a very right of center magazine. Almost this is Neocon central... so today, and I have to buy the issue, slipped my mind... there was an article on how American Decline (and end of Empire) is real, this time.

Chalk this to markers and where we are going.

Last year one right of center magazine, and now this one... yes the proverbial writing is on the fucking wall. And I suspect Republicans will do all they can to ensure this happens under a democrat... keep tuned to raising the debt ceiling "debate."

3. Yeesh FP has an article "Why I destroyed an Afghan Village"
I have to admit I'm relieved. I find Richard Haass fascinating to listen to.

4. No you are thinking of Foreign Affairs
which did publish that article on the end of empire last year, also in the first quarter.

Both are quite right of center.

5. Are you skeptical of that assertion or bracing for Obama's being blamed?
Personally I am worried we are falling behind. Why is or isn't this off base?

6. I know the fall is coming
and I am almost willing to bet that the Rs will do all they can to ENSURE that it happens under a Dem.

These people seem to miss that BOTH parties will be blamed for it, and if the country survives as a nation... most likely both will be replaced. If the country shatters... well then... who cares.

But the fact that two neocon central magazines have published this and the FP article sounds more immediate, is a critical marker.
