news is starting to seem surreal to me - thinking of Michael moore statement on Why are we such a
violent people

We teach our children to kill and invade other countries
We fight for guns to let people kill each other and others
We kill children and babies

Every night it is some unbelievable story about someone killing, robbing, or scamming someone

Robbing old ladies, stealing from someone in a wheelchair, killing a lottery winner, and on and on and on

It is just crazy

1. a pathological culture
Edited on Mon Jan-24-11 11:19 PM by patrick t. cakes
violence perpetuates itself.

I wish i felt it was going to get better
but we have a long hill to climb before that.
I feel its too ingrained, and its our undoing.

3. We share a lot with other empires IN DECLINE
It will change, but cultures do not until they undergo a radical event. Empire fall is one of them.

7. You must be youngish and productive, Glinda.
Most countries won't accept people over 40 as immigrants. At least unless they have LOTS of money.

5. We are a nation of both fear and loathing
Freedom for all men, unless, they're like slaves, or indentured servants or Chinese forced laborers.

Carry a gun around town, waving it in peoples faces, and you might get a year or two.

Smoke pot in some states that aren't California, and you could be facing 10-20.
