4. I posted the title from Mediaite |
|
I noticed yesterday on that site at the bottom of the page that Mediaites' founder is Dan Abrams. And I read somewhere else yesterday that Dan Abrams is leaving MSNBC :)

Abrams hates Keith. Not surprising he spun that as "ruthless". Abrams is a jealous dick.

Colbert's special comment was right on as well. I found the whole skit hilarious. First laugh I've gotten out of all this. I bet KO would laugh as well.

11. I might think it's funny once Keith has his own show again. |
|
But, for now, even though I love Colbert, I say, "Meh."
I realize KO doesn't need to work, so it's not like he'll be sitting in unemployment lines, but, damn it, last night was miserable without him and CON-NBC, which I will no longer watch - no matter how much Big Eddie begs (I still listen to him on satellite radio, though - but his own show, not the CON-NBC one).

12. "My body is rejecting Keith like a pompous kidney!" |

I also liked the stylized, swooping take to camera two that nailed Olbermann's delivery.
Colbert is one funny motherfucker.

That wasn't even funny, it was stupid, and mocking the guy after losing his job is totally uncalled for. This characterization that Stewart and Colbert have painted of Keith Olbermann is unfair and disingenuous. So what if he's self-righteous? So what if he has a bit of an ego? He's an honest man who spoke truth to power and challenged those in authority when no one else had the guts to. He also used "Countdown" as a vehicle to help those in need, like the families in need of organ donors in Arizona, and promote policies to help people like me and you out, even if he wouldn't directly benefit from them. Stewart and Colbert are a bunch of asshats. I'm really disappointed with the way they handled this. What a load of BS.
