You say you want a revolution? How's this for a battle hymn:

You may have to endure a short commercial at the start, and parts of the video are kinda silly, but the song itself strikes me as perfect.

1. Battle hymns for revolutions don't come from Warner Music Group.
That's going to come off way more pointed than it's meant but that's the fax.

11. Who cares where it comes from, as long as it's a good song?
Geez. :eyes:

4. Autotune of "I'm not a witch" and "Double Rainbow" are...instant classics.
I'M NOT A WITCH - sung by Christine O'Donnell
Double Rainbow

If you haven't listened to these before and listen to them back to back, you will live an extra day longer. Just a day though.

8. I've got one I wrote this year.......
It's in production now. Plus, I dusted off an anti Reagan thing about the homeless I wrote back in the late 80s, also in (new) production. They won't be released by WB or any other major label I'm sure, but they will get out there somehow.

I didn't write them for money, I wrote them because what I said NEEDED to be said.

9. That is a critical trend and part of the paradigm shift
that is why I asked.

So are the games that predict break up of the US... as well as freedom fighters. These point to a change in the way people are thinking. These things are not produced just because.

13. Check Out the last offering from Shooter Jennings...
"Black Ribbons" Yeah country music. Only this is as brilliant as anything I have seen and sounds nothing like country. It's a concept album about a DJ who is on the last night of broadcast before the government takes over all the radio stations. There is commentary mixed in with songs from a non-existant band called Hirophant. This is the opening song called Wake Up:

they say good fences
make good neighbors

for you my friend
this might be true

but you still gotta put
the boards on the windows
to the soul inside of you

that t.v. in the corner
that's their greatest tool
they poison you mind
when you're a child

with their fear
and their guilt
and their rules

they teach you that you're just a number
as they program you in school
so by the time you're out
in their world on your own
you've been trained not to bite
the hand of the cruel

wake up!

Don't believe that the system is failing
Don't believe that the planet is dead

< From: http://www.metrolyrics.com/wake-up-lyrics-shooter-jennings.html >

They'll keep all the food for their fat fucking bellies
and the starving will kill or be fed

and they'll try to turn me against you
so divided,we'll turn to them
because anything strong cannot be conquered from without
before first being conquered from within.

Don't let them get you down.
Don't let them get you down.

Don't let them get you down.
Don't let them get you down.
Don't let them get you down.
Don't let them get you down.

Life is a movie,we are all actors
Don't let them edit you out.

Life is a movie,we are all actors
Don't let them edit you out.

Don't let them get you down.
Don't let them get you down.

Don't let them get you down.
Don't let them get you down.

6. Best ever hymn : We Wont get Fooled again.
Change it had to come
We knew it all along
We were liberated from the fall that's all
But the world looks just the same
And history ain't changed
'Cause the banners, they all flown in the last war ...

There's nothing in the street
Looks any different to me
And the slogans are replaced, by-the-bye ...

7. The denouement of that song indicates the singer very much feels he's been "fooled again." n/t.

10. Revolutions eat their children.
That's the point. The streets stay the same, the slogans change.
