State of the Union Theatrics.
Who really thinks that the mixed Republican and Democratic party seating means anything? Pure theater.
As soon as the SOTU is over, the same party bashing and non-cooperation will continue.
Why this is being played up on the news this morning is beyond me.

I will watch;better yet, I will listen. There are so many faces I don't want to see. I have no tolerance any more for the posturing and theatrics coming from our representatives in Washington.
Not all of them, but a huge number spout nothing but vitriol and just plain blather.

At this point, I will admit that I am tired of it all.
I want to believe that something good will happen but I don't expect it.
The President is banging his head against the opposition's wall. It is not working.

Showing false unity in with seating arrangements does not impress most of us.

1. I'm Expecting...
...a teabagger to make a total ass out of themselves (not that they aren't already). There sure to be some "hero" out there who will consider it a "badge of honor" to diss this President and want to be the next Joe Wilson.

Symbolism means little when the rushpublicans are more interested in scoring points and being obstructionists...sitting together sounds like something a First Grade teacher would do to not supposedly full-grown adults (and with today's putrid political environment that term adult is very suspect).

Of course the corporate media loves it...a new toy to manipulate.

3. Me too. It will totally upstage whatever the Pres. has to say.
The only question is who it's going to be and what form it will take.

4. frankly, the mixed seating, I think, will have an very interesting effect.
once upon a time when they were on separate sides, one side would stand and applaud while the other side sat stone faced.

Now when the pres says something worthy of applause, those who favor will stand and will give the impression that a lot more people are standing for approval.
