4. OK. Your choice.
Me? There's stuff on MSNBC I want to watch. I'm not that into cutting off my nose to spite my face.

5. I took FOX NEWS out of my programming years ago
I didn't watch it, anyway, but I didn't want to give them a hit even by accident. I haven't watched MSNBC since Keith's departure, but I have not programmed them out....yet. I'm not big on political opinion shows, so I just don't watch them much. I have an opinion, and I consider it valid, so I'm not looking for anyone to sway it in any fashion. I'll get what information I need from the internet, where I deem it trustworthy.

8. I've yet to see any proof that Olbermann was fired and not a
word from Olbermann himself saying he was fired. I'm more inclined to believe it was a mutual decision that has been in the works for some time. I'll stick to watching MSNBC.

10. My plan is about the reverse of your plan :)
Leave a really old TV watching MSNBC from 6pm to 11pm on its own..

And on my better TV watch evening MSNBC and also channel flip..

The amoeba approach to supporting evening MSNBC..

11. I've done the same.
Edited on Tue Jan-25-11 01:05 PM by louis-t
I watch a lot of TV Land and History Channel.

Oh, and I wrote MSNBC and Phil whats-his-name and told them why.

12. I won't be watching it, either.
And anyone left who thinks CON-NBC isn't, as Buzzflash pointed out, slapping MSNBC away from being a progressive beachhead (hat tip: Will Pitt), then they're in denial.

13. Why would Olbermann remain silent about MSNBC's move to
the right?

14. Firstly, he may not definitely know...
The Buzzflash article is speculation based on some of CONCast's previous actions.

Secondly, even if he did, he's probably under a contractual gag order.

18. He was replaced by Cenk Uygur, that doesn't seem like a
rightward move to me.

If Olbermann was fired for his political leanings, it seems hard to believe he'd agree to a contractual gag order.

I haven't touched M$NBC since Friday night, and have no plans to watch anytime soon.
