ownership of DU. I always find that interesting. I wonder if people know that they can start their own discussion forum and name it whatever they want, set their own rules, and all that sort of thing? It can even be done at no cost at all.

There are literally hundreds of political discussion forums on the Internet. Some person started every one of them.

Are you including me in your "us?" When the words "we" and "us" are used in this way, they're used incorrectly. Unless the original poster qualifies those words with some explanation, they're meaningless.

Do you truly believe that DU would go away if some number of "us" left? Many have left. Many have been forced to leave. Yet, DU is still here, isn't it?

There is no "we" here. There is no "us." There are just thousands of individuals, each having one reason or another for being here.

"Us" in the case of my question would be, the members of the web site and content providers for its primary feature, the message boards.

And my response was to your comment. I'm not responding in support (or against) the OP proposal, which I expect is meant to make a rhetorical point, not about DU, but about governments that react to the exposure of widespread crime and corruption they were keeping secret by searching for a way to imprison the publisher thereof for "espionage."
