I hate the visual distraction and I don't feel like watching some sort of televised version of e-harmony.

Obama could take a few seconds and tell the story of a boy from Ohio. One of eight kids growing up in a small house who realized the American dream and became Speaker of the House etc. etc.
Poor Biden would have to use a funnel and bucket to keep his feet dry.
