I firmly disagree with the President on serveral points
Edited on Tue Jan-25-11 10:20 PM by white_wolf
but the one I want to talk about specifically is the one that no one would trade this country for another. Basically it was another "American Exceptional-ism" line. I would gladly trade our economic system for the one of the systems of the Western European Social Democracies. So no Mr. President I would trade our country's system because the fact is it is broken and your speech tonight and your actions throughout your term has given me little to no faith that you are able or even willing to fix it.

1. What's he supposed to say? If I were you and not stuck in this office, I'd be
hauling ass to Costa Rica right now?

The fact is, MANY Americans agree with him.

5. Perhaps he could'nt have said something else
but he could at least point out the flaws in our capitalist system and that we can follow the example of Social Democracies to fix it.

The empire is swiftly collapsing. I'd like to enjoy living in a far more civilized place if I can make it there.

11. fwiw
I personally know two people who left the US for employment and their personal enjoyment of life. It's a little telling when they say there's no way they're coming back.
