It was more of a political pep talk than a policy statement.

Although it was a little short on specifics and lacked even an inkling as to how he would simultaneously pursue austerity and invest in education and infrastructure, it was a feel good speech.

It's very difficult to oppose it.

Which was my point.

8. "wasn't much to object to"?? Obama was criticized for saying Gabby Giffords OPENED HER EYES.
The Republicans object when Obama says the sky is blue, the grass is green, and water is wet. A 92% approval is staggering.
