Something has been nagging at the back of my mind today |

The Teabag Rebuttal, like they are a third party. If the teabags are a third party, does that mean the GOP doesn't really have a majority?
And,
Teabags Rebuttal, is this a sign the GOP is splitting apart?
Quick edit:
Either way..I like it.

If they split the Republican party, then they can forget about winning the major battles...

If this is the new normal, the progressive caucus should get a rebuttal, too.

7. Here's a couple of questions |
|
Who has the majority in the Senate if there are 50 democrats and 50 republicans? How would they be able to pick a majority leader?
Who has the majority if there are 48 dems, 48 repubs, 2 independents, 2 TeaPary (TeaParty = actually win on ballot as TeaParty not republican) if the indies caucus with the dems and the Teaparty were to caucus with the repubs then it would be a tie.

8. The VP breaks ties in the Senate, so for all intents and purposes |
|
which ever party holds the white house has the majority in the senate when there is a tie

10. Yes, the VP breaks the tie on votes.. but |
|
but what 'exactly' is the rule at the beginning of the Congressional session? Is it stated that when there are 50 dems and 50 republicans the majority falls to the party that holds the White House? Seems like that makes the most sense - better than flipping coin to see who'll be majority leader ;)

6. They are running on the ballots as 'republican' |
|
so until the TeaParty republicans actually run on the ballot as 'TeaParty' - the TeaParty republicans will still be 'Republicans'.

more execrable elements on other people.
They are the same.
