Buses of liberals going Palm springs Sunday - to the Koch Brothers Tea Party planning event
Dear Friend,

This weekend in Palm Springs, the tea-party funding, billionaire Koch brothers will meet behind closed doors with fellow ultra right-wing billionaire elites to plot their political agenda and their strategy to dominate the 2012 elections.

Hundreds of citizens are gathering at a demonstration on Sunday. Free bus transportation is available from across Southern California. Can you be there?
"Uncloaking the Kochs" Demonstration
Sunday, January 30th, 1 pm - 4 pm
41000 Bob Hope Drive, Rancho Mirage, CA 92270

Free Buses are leaving from Los Angeles, the San Fernando Valley, Orange County, Riverside, Culver City, Whittier and San Diego. (Full details below this email.)

RSVP for the event and reserve your seat on the bus.<http://act.credoaction.com/r/?r=6871&id=15599-1070251-XOWsyqx&t=1> Seats are limited and you must RSVP to get a ride.

It's no coincidence that this meeting sounds like the stuff of political conspiracy theories.

With the Supreme Court's tragic Citizens United decision, corporations and billionaires like the Koch brothers have unprecedented power to elect radical, right-wing candidates, and have already set our nation on a disastrous course of eroding environmental and public health protections - among others - that will affect every community in this nation.

This meeting was supposed to be held in secret. But now, it's become an important opportunity to expose the elite corporate billionaires who are hijacking our entire democracy.

Groups organizing this event include Common Cause, The Courage Campaign, California Nurses Association, and hundreds of good government advocates, health professionals, veterans, working families, students, seniors, champions of environmental responsibility, and many more.

Take a stand to help reclaim our democracy. RSVP to reserve your spot on the bus.<http://act.credoaction.com/r/?r=6871&id=15599-1070251-XOWsyqx&t=2>

Thanks for working to take our democracy back.

9. An enormous waste of money and time.
What do the demonstrators expect to gain? It is not like the Koch's are going to look out a hotel window at demonstrators and change their rightwing thoughts. The only truisms coming out of the lost weekend is that the demonstrators would have spent money for buses, food and hotels, while the Kochs will still have plenty of money to push their rightwing filth.

What the demonstrators would be wise to do it stay home and send a contribution to liberal democratic organizations that fight the Koch's efforts. Instead, the demonstrators will spend $100+ of precious funds, if 10,000 demonstrators show up, huge money that could have gone to effective liberal political organizations would have been pissed down a drain.

10. Yeah, but that wouldn't scare the capitalists...........
Nothing scares a capitalist more than the great unwashed getting in their face. And who says they have to stay outside? Remember the Sheet Metal Workers Union that faced off with the mortgage bankers? Scare the fuckers with actual people power in their face.
