It is so obvious that the news has been 'dumbed down'. |
|
There is hardly a word about the protests on CNN. It's mostly 'Happy Time' all morning. Joey Scar is apparently now a lame comedy show with a few mentions of the protests. What has happened to keeping a nation informed? We have corporate fascism in this country and it has talking heads on every network promoting it's values.
The protests are being covered as if they have nothing to do with us. The media is missing it again just like when we were led to invade a country for no reason.
I miss the old days of on the fly television and newspaper journalists with guts.

1. It's really obvious that the revolution stories are being squashed... |
|
Wouldn't want to give anyone in this country any ideas.
Shame on the Ministry of Propaganda for not reporting real news.

11. Agreed. With all of the guns and ammo owned by citizens in this |
|
country, we could have one heck of a revolution on our own. Don't want to give us any ideas or anything... With people out on the streets raising hell it would cut into the profit margin.

It's constant news unlike BBC World Service. Go here: http://radiotime.com/affiliate/a_33829/station/BBC_Radio_Stations.aspxand search for BBC Radio 5 live (BBC R5L). * BBC Radio 1 – popular music aimed at a young audience * BBC Radio 1Xtra – hip hop, garage, RnB, drum & bass & dancehall, aimed at a young audience * BBC Radio 2 – adult-oriented popular music * BBC Radio 3 – classical, jazz and world music, culture, drama * BBC Radio 4 – spoken-word programmes * BBC Radio 5 Live – news and sport * BBC Radio 5 Live Sports Extra- news and sport * BBC 6 Music – rock, funk, alternative * BBC Radio 7 – archive comedy, drama and children's programming * BBC Asian Network – Indian and British content aimed at British Asians

10. American TV "news" is for people who can't handle the truth |
|
and wanted to be told what to be afraid of, or get angry about.
The internet is what provides real news.

14. CNN is reporting some of the truth.... |
|
The reporter (Wedeman) in Egypt was just saying that the protesters are peaceful but the police are allowing plain clothes thugs essentially through to beat up on the people. That the regime is "not holding back."

Real news takes time, money, and effort. It's also true when it comes to local news as well.
