Check in to send good vibes, prayers and/or words of support for the protesters
I'm praying and envisioning a shift, the likes of which we have never seen in the history of Humanity. A shift in which we've reached a tipping point and can embrace our individual and collective power -- and those who try to control the masses so ruthlessly also realize our power -- with the revolutions moving forward more peacefully than ever imagined.

To be hopeful in bad times is not just foolishly romantic. It is based on the fact that human history is a history not only of cruelty, but also of compassion, sacrifice, courage, kindness.

What we choose to emphasize in this complex history will determine our lives. If we see only the worst, it destroys our capacity to do something. If we remember those times and places -- and there are so many -- where people have behaved magnificently, this gives us the energy to act, and at least the possibility of sending this spinning top of a world in a different direction.

And if we do act, in however small a way, we don't have to wait for some grand utopian future. The future is an infinite succession of presents, and to live now as we think human beings should live, in defiance of all that is bad around us, is itself a marvelous victory.

- Howard Zinn

WE ARE CHANGE!!!!!!!!!!!!! said one of the tweet reports from Egypt

A small group of thoughtful people could change the world. Indeed, it's the only thing that ever has.

I have a friend in Egypt. This is what she and her friends rev'd up to before going out in the streets

Michael would be so proud. As ahuge fan of his, I like to think they called it Million Person March for the one million dollar check he wrote to the Nation of Islam when they had their march on DC.

18. K&R, and adding Sa Sekhem Sahu
Edited on Fri Jan-28-11 04:37 PM by Zephie
I practice Kemetism, which is an Egyptian Neopaganism. Sa (breath of life) Sekhem (sacred might) Sahu (realized human). It represents wishes/prayers for peace, inner strength and transformation. This is what I wish for Egypt, and the whole world in these trying times.

26. Add continued good vibes today, grateful to see peaceful progress....
and sharing a wonderful quote, shared by ElectricMonk:

Those who make peaceful revolution impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.

- JFK

It seems the Egyptian citizens and the military are finding their way through more peaceful means.

They absolutely rock!!! What an inspiration they are.

:)
