Al-J reporting Army clashing with police in Cairo
Protesters in some areas welcoming Army with Cheers. Definitely going to be an interesting weekend. Too bad most of our MSM are missing the boat.

1. Jamie Rubin was on CNN a few minutes ago
He said it remained to be seen if the Army would fire on the people. He said the police are widely hated but the Army is much admired and loved.

So I guess your news is a clue that the Army may protect the people from the police?

I wonder where his wife Christina Amanpour is today.

2. Some army isn't all of them though...
As in many places, there are likely some army units/commanders that will side with the existing government due to prior acts, etc. Others may go whichever way the wind is blowing, or stick with the people altogether. I'd expect the internal security forces (police, etc) will also experience division.
