to continue to put up with the extraordinary economic and legal inequality they've had to put up with.
it's not better to put up with a tyrant because of the united states version of 'stability'.
it's not stable if the elections are corrupt and speculation drives your people into hunger -- forces economic stagnation on generation after generation.

I can't believe some around here actually want for Mubrarak to stay in power. Whatever happens, it will be because the Egyptian people wanted it. And that's all it's about really. We will have to live with whatever they decide.

it's the peoples country -- and i have to admire taking such an entrenched and corrupt guy like mubarak.
it's not easy for the people to do this.
