2. I've been wondering about that.
Egypt, after all, is a popular U.S. tourist attraction.

Just heard where the last Delta flight for the foreseeable future is leaving Saturday morning from Cairo.

4. The med assets are on alert to Evac.
Call it a gut feeling. And NATO is sending ships too. Mostly to Evac western citizens. Call it a really strong gut feeling.

5. I'd think they'd have to.
I'm sure every other major airline will soon follow suit and stop flights into and out of the country.

13. I had plans for a trip
up the Nile this fall with my sis with a layover in Cairo and a visit to the pyramids. Trip of a lifetime.
Inconvience for me in the scheme of things but disappointing just the same.
I don't see the tourist situation improving at least through the year. If Egypt becomes a free nation it will be a wonderful thing.

9. Recall Cairo Emb.'s Warden message of yesterday did not mention

possible evac advisory.

One would assume that elements of the U.S. Sixth Fleet are enroute.
