What if 40,000+ people "disappeared" in the US each year? Would we revolt?
Isn't that the number of people in the US who die each year due to lack of adequate health care?

1. Lack of insurance. The health care is fine, if you can afford it.
That is why Single Payer is needed

about inadequate health care deaths AND about the number of gun deaths per year. We should be ashamed.

5. From the corporate point of view, they're certainly non-persons.
Your status as a citizen is directly correlated with the amount of money you have. And if you have no money, you're not human.

Of course the opposite is equally true - those that have the most money, meaning the stateless, faceless, disembodied legal fictions called corporations are the most human.
