John Boehner just appointed the Tea Party darling Michele Bachmann to the Intelligence Committee. This is bad news all the way around.

The best case scenario is that she gets a mega dose of reality and tones down her idiocy, something we've all come to appreciate.

But the more likely scenario is that Bachmann uses this position as a trump card to whip her already illogical group of followers into an even greater frenzy.
