2. This was my first time
live-streaming it and you're right. I was absolutely riveted to it for hours yesterday. I'm old enough to remember what REAL news looked like. It made me nostalgic.

3. We get that here on satellite and cable tv
Do you also ?

We don't get "proper CNN here - just their world edition and stuff local to the UK.

Off topic : I didn't mean to intrude in your post last night : was just a convenient topic. Was late last here and I only had the twitter link ref. the Cairo Museum. I found a proper one this morning so posted it. The Museum is next door to the party headquarters which were set ablaze and with no firefighters on the streets the museum was exposed anyway. Yes it was touching to see that in the midst of this human tragedy they were taking time out to protect their cultural heritage.

11. Are you talking to me? How on earth could you "intrude" on a post? That's
Edited on Sat Jan-29-11 12:17 PM by gateley
why we're here! I honestly don't know what you're referring to (if you ARE addressing me) so obviously there was no intrusion at all! :pals:

I don't think my Comcast :grr: lineup has it on TV, but to be honest I never thought to look -- I'm off to do it now!

From what I've seen of the CNN International/World reports, heads and shoulders better than what we have here on daily basis.

:hi:

Edit -- typo'd a smiley! :eyes:

13. I've been relying on AlJazeeraEnglish for at least 6 months. I have
a tab for the news from AlJazeera just like I have two tabs for DU. Main Page and GD. This is a crucial time in history. May it be non violent and please be over soon w/o more deaths or billions stolen! If I was a religious person, which I'm not so never mind.
