Hawaii making money off of birthers. LOL
IF BILL PASSES, HAWAII TO CHARGE $100 FOR COPY OF OBAMA BIRTH CERTIFICATE

BY MARK NIESSE
Associated Press
HONOLULU — Anyone would be able to get a copy of President Obama's birth records for a $100 fee under a bill introduced in the state Legislature that backers hope will finally dispel claims he was born elsewhere.

The bill would change a privacy law barring the release of birth records unless the requester is someone with a tangible interest, such as a close family member.

The measure was introduced by five Democrats but has not yet been scheduled for a public hearing, a required step before it can move forward. A decision on considering the bill will be made by the House's Democratic leadership and committee chairmen.

The idea behind the measure is to end skepticism over Obama's birthplace while raising a little money for a government with a projected budget deficit exceeding $800 million over the next two years.

4. Maybe it's just me...
but I would highly resent it if the state of Oklahoma sold a copy of my birth certificate to just anyone who asked. Of course, that's not likely to happen, but still--the idea of it gives me the creeps. Wonder how those teaparty types would like it if they were constantly harangued to prove where/when they were born? Yeah, I get the point about their insane need to have proof positive where our president was born, but I'm thinking even a copy of the certificate is not going to satisfy them. I mean, don't they already have that?

Well, thanks for posting this. Looks like an issue that isn't gonna go away, no matter what. Incidentally, if anyone would like to pay me $100 for a copy of my OK birth certificate, lemme know. Won't do it of course, but would be worth the chuckle to learn someone was interested. :)

5. I'm sure the copy they are offering is the same one that can be gotten off the internet for free.
Which makes this so much more delicious.

Personally, if copies of my birth certificate could bring in money...I'd say, give me a cut and go at it. I have nothing to hide. And neither does President Obama.
