Watching Bill Maher last night something struck me
Do the leaders of the RNC understand that they have absolutely not one chance in hell of wining an election without the support of their lunatic fringe?
How long will it be before they are wearing the Palins and Bachmanns around their necks like an albatross?

1. They're aware of it and are dancing barefoot on glass right now.
Watch Newt Gingrich--at first he loathes the 'baggers--then he embraces them (see: the Magic Christian, Christine O'Donell).

3. They're going to win elections and keep winning them. The corporations
are now in complete control of the propaganda and voting machines. It's only going to get worse until things completely explode around here.

Not that I'm real cheerful about things right now....

4. They can't win without their three pillars - lying, cheating and stealing.
Conservative ideas don't stand a chance in a real democracy because their ideas and solutions have no merit. Instead they rely on endless propaganda pumped out by a media that they have to bankroll by the billions, they have to ensure election laws and processes can be easily manipulated, and they have to maintain this advantage by not paying living wages to workers (stealing) and manipulating tax codes to unfairly take money from our common treasury.

They have interests, not principles.

So they've fed all this ignorance to these people. Doesn't seem like much of a foundation to stand on. Maybe it will be their own undoing.

6. Yes--organized efforts to suppress the votes are a big part of it and woefully
underdiscussed at DU and elsewhere (I'm from AZ, don't I know it!)

7. Here's one place where Nevada's libertarian
heritage has worked out well.

It's absolutely forbidden to ask a voter to show any ID. If he/she offers, we can look at it, but we go only by comparison of their two signatures on the voter registry.

There's been some pressure to change this, however. I hope it doesn't go through.

11.  It all comes down to one solution: public funding.

9. They know under no circumstances could they win ... that's why we have computer voting and ....
corporate press --

People have mainly woken up to the TV propaganda because it is so over the

top and outrageous now -- but they'v been at that for decades and certainly

have used it to confuse the public on every issue, quite successfully.

Meanwhile, I don't think they understand the complicity of corporate-press in 9/11.

The only way the right wing can rise is via political violence, stolen elections and

lying propaganda. Oh, yeah -- great wealth to buy our government and elected officials.

Everything is faked -- bought and controlled by elites.

And we have to understand the extent of that from the Christian Coaliation movement to

their "pro-life" murderers -- from the GOPs/NRA to the GOP/Koch Bros-T-BAGGERS.

And everything in between!

As Hitler well knew, politics and religion depend on a lot of theater - fakery!
