"Three times David Sharp, 26, of Waxahachie told his story: that he was the rape victim of an 11-year-old female who took advantage of him while he as in a drunken and or sleepy state.
Two of those times are detailed in voluntary, written, signed statements he gave Ennis police detectives.
The other time was during his own testimony at trial in 40th District Court this week, when he told his account of what happened to a six-male, six-female panel.
It took that jury about 30 minutes to convict him Thursday on a first-degree felony offense of aggravated sexual assault of a child and about another hour to sentence him to 99 years in prison."
