In an interview with Yahoo! News, Vice President Joe Biden admitted that he has seen The Onion's ongoing coverage of him, and seemed alternately tickled and confused by the mockery.

The Onion, America's Finest News Source, has published satirical articles, photos and videos (through Onion News Network) poking fun at the Vice President since Obama announced him as his running mate. The Onion's version of Biden, an "embarrassing uncle" type who's never quite outgrown the classic rock era, is an absurdist, alternative-universe portrait of a grinning, obliviously un-hip statesman who somehow ascended to the Vice-Presidency.

"I am flattered that they think the skits (sic) on me are totally inconsistent with my personality," said the Vice President of the United States.

The President's second-in-command also clarified that unlike the article where he washes a Trans Am in the White House driveway, he actually drives a '67 Corvette. So perhaps The Onion's writers are not too far off the mark in their assessment of Biden.
