Katie Couric/Bryant Gumbel Wonder what this "Internet" thing is?
http://www.mediaite.com/tv/watch-1994-katie-couric-and-bryant-gumbel-try-to-figure-out-what-this-internet-thing-is/

Really interesting video to compare what people thought in 1994 to where we are 17 years later.

7. Astonishing,isn't it? A couple of years ago I asked one of my grandchildren to
roll down the car window and he didn't know what I meant.

Silly me.

11. Six or seven years ago I got the urge to make real popcorn.
While it was cooking, both my kids walked through the kitchen at separate times and both of them said, "wow, I never knew you could make popcorn without a microwave."

12. The stupidity makes my head hurt
I wasn't online until 1998, but even I knew what the Internet was. I just didn't have the money to get a computer to access it. There is just no excuse for this level of ignorance among people who are paid to be on top of current events and trends.
