The economies of Canada and South Korea are quite similar. |

Canada: GDP per capita-$41,000; Gini-31.5; exports-23% of economy (73% to US); imports-23% (63% from US) South Korea: GDP per capita-$30,000; Gini-31.3; exports-33% of economy (20% to US); imports-23% (11% from US)
SK has a surprisingly good equality of income index; almost identical to that of Canada and almost equal to that of most European countries (the EU average is 31). While our per capita GDP is much higher than either ($46,000) our Gini (our level of income inequality) is the worst in the developed world - 45.

The vast majority of the market cap of Canadian companies are from banks and mining/oil & gas/oil services companies. Not so for SK.
