Here's What You Should Say When Someone Uses "Obamacare" With A Negative Connotation.........
No your wrong - "Obama Cares".

I've been saying this now and getting good response from people and it stops the ones that are against Obama and the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act in their tracks and leaves them speechless.

Try it.

1. I think Obamacare sucks, but
I ask whoever uses the phrase what the Republicans offered...aside from obstruction, that is. Name one thing they offered. Just one. They had no plan for affordable healthcare because they want the insurance companies--who pay them--to make money. They aren't ashamed to say that they don't value affordable healthcare even though it KILLS small businesses (no to mention the uninsured, but they don't care about "them.") I dare them to name one republican who says that affordable healthcare is part of their platform. Go ahead, name ONE.

2. Actually what Obama passed WAS the republican plan - they dropped support for it when Obama started
advocating for it. They are against Dems no matter what.

3. +1
That mandate to buy private insurance was totally a GOP idea

Also the backroom deal with the hospital lobby to take the Public Option off the table...

5. The word itself is a negative connotation.
The word "Obamacare" is a Republican invention. It shouldn't be used at all.

8. Tool Howie Kurtz JUST used it blithely on his CNN show where he criticized the media.
In the segment, he basically criticized MSNBC for not taking on Rep Cohen, who compared the Rethugs LIES about health care reform as Goebbel's point about repeating a lie enough till it's believed (which we know is a common rethug tactic).

6. Romneycare doesn't deserve our support
But I bet you anything the Repubs fight to keep the mandate and other evil stuff in there and strip out the small amount of fluff we got.

7. When they say Obamacare
I say what's that?????And I let them explain. And when they don't know any of the details, and try and explain what the bill is I just laugh. And tell them no such bill has been passed by this Administration. Then I tell them about the Patient Affordable Care Act.:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

13. Before healthcare reform we had the MOST expensive healthcare in the world ...
after heathcare reform, it will be more expensive.

This is not the Hope and Change I voted for. We elected a Democrat for President and gave him control of both houses of Congress. What I expected was a plan that incorporated the best and most effective ideas developed by other nations in their heathcare systems. What we got was a sell-out to the medical and insurance industries. We could have had a Canadian-style single-payer health care system. We could have had Medicare for All.

This was the situation before heathcare reform:
