We should bribe them to be nice to us and let us have some crumbs.
So that's where we went wrong... not letting them do whatever they wanted. No wonder the fucked us over. We deserved to be fucked over.

We should gather in mass at their fucking doors and stay until they relinquish. We should be making the news along side Egypt.

What ever gave you the idea people here might revolt?
They stole our votes, our clean air and water, passed the patriot act and wiretap our phones and computers. We Snooozzze.
And the American dream is still ""how do I get to where the bankers are on the ladder of success"".
You will be assimilated. You'd best just roll over and submit. Play dead, would be my advice. Just like everyone else is doing.

THEN we might get off our butts and show them who works for who. But we can't even get Dems to acknowledge the elephant in the livingroom.

Every government in the world is getting a little nervous today. They know who really has the power, should they ever decide to use it.

15. Odd that Tunisia was a media black-out |
|
Yet Egypt is wall to wall coverage. Seemed to me that the same dynamic is at play - populist overthrow. The same happened in Thailand but with the king supporting the military doing it - then handing it all back to the people (entrenched social elite structure included... but).
Must be a 'fear the Muslims' media play going to happen from the Egypt overthrow.

couldn't help noticing all the English (and very well printed) signs, but along with all the badly printed ones, how many different spellings of Mubarak there were. You'd think in Egypt they'd spell it all the same way?

I wanted to be a banker but I had morals.
If I had no morals you'd be giving me more of your money.

The "'recession' is over!"
According to a commentary on the SOTU, Obama was right to show that everything is "business as usual again."
Btw, the banks have "paid back" all of the money we gave them (except for all the toxic assets and 0 interest loans, but that doesn't count).
Everything's hunky-dory. Now everyone get back to spending!
