Tea party leader: Tea party the result of Republican failures under Bush
By Emi Kolawole
Virginia Tea Party Patriots leader Jamie Radtke went after the Republican establishment Thursday during an address to the Senate Tea Party caucus.

During her address to the caucus, National Journal reports Radtke said, "The Tea Party movement would not exist today if the Republicans had not failed under the Bush years."

Radtke was among a number of speakers at the first caucus meeting. She was joined by Republican Sens. Jim DeMint (S.C.), Rand Paul (Ky.) and Mike Lee (Utah) and Americans for Tax Reform President Grover Norquist, Tea Party Express Chairman Amy Kremer, Americans for Prosperity President Tim Phillips, and FreedomWorks President Matt Kibbe.

Radtke has already established that she will be running to Allen's left, calling Allen a member of the "Washington establishment."

This has got to be a misprint.....to Allen's left????

6. Well...kinda
The "failure" she refers to is the Republicans' failure to keep the black guy out of the White House.

And not the Republicans' turning the White House into the Big House.

7. I think its the election of a black president. If the KKK was active today,
many of them would be members.

8. Amazing...
how the TeaBaggers managed to hold thier tongues about how bad Bush and the Republicans were until AFTER the election of a non-Republican.

I'll say it even simpler: they didn't give a shit about the deficit, or the tax rate, or spending, until someone with a "D" next to thier name was elected President.
And if (Gawds forbid!) someone with an "R" next to thier name is elected President in 2012, they'll disappear again, no matter how bad that person increases the deficit or spends money.
The TeaBag Party is not now, nor never was, nor ever will be, about balancing the budget or decreasing spending. They are all about what intial the President has after his name.

I still don't understand why nobody on our side is willing to call them that in public.

We should be tarring and feathering them with it, laminating it to them, and using it nonstop in speech and in print. EVERYWHERE.
