8. For the single purpose of helping remove U.S. state department personnel - |
|
if it becomes necessary. She added that so far there is no evidence that they are in danger and the State Department has not asked for help.
Seems you are not a careful reporter...

9. I had heard that Marines were on stand-by if they were needed |
|
to get our people out. I even found the link from the post here on DU... http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=439x297200I'm guessing they're "reconfiguring" facts again (now that I know who she is).

15. Biggest blows to capitalism in decades. Of course they are |
|
Expect some clumsy manufactured incidents in the next few days.
It's phase II, the counter revolution now. Capital, over people, must be supported at ANY cost in their eyes.

18. A friend has an army friend who just moved..... |
|
.....his family to Cairo for a duty tour, two weeks ago. Why do we have army in Cairo? This was before the current unrest. Perhaps the military knew something was going to happen? But if so, why would they move his family there also? Sounds like for a longer tour, like 6 months. My friend was worried about them, because cannot get in contact with them in any way.

21. If the only purpose is to evacuate U.S. citizens and State Dept. personnel, I could put up with this |
|
Go in, carry out mission and make sure U.S. expats are safe, leave, ideally without any incidents.
However, anything resembling attacking, invading, nation-building, Halliburton-building or otherwise fucking with the internal affairs of Egypt is out of line. And we don't have the troops, equipment or money to afford a third war anyways.
