Israel is concerned, the House of Saud is probably terrified |

I have not seen much in the press about the effect of the Egyptian crisis on Saudi Arabia. I would venture that the daily status of Saudi Arabia is of paramount importance to many world leaders. Sure, Egypt is critically important in the ME, but they are not sitting on nearly as much of "our" oil as the Saudis.
I wonder how much reporting of the Egyptian uprisings are getting into Saudi Arabia.

2. House of Saud would not hesitate to use brutal repression |

against their own citizens. Let me rephrase that: against the interlopers they allow to live in THEIR kingdom :eyes:

The Royal Family has to be wondering if their day of reckoning is upon them. Of course, such a revolution in SA would have dramatically different consequences for the world's energy markets. Kind of a shame that we haven't pursued energy options to ME oil that Carter tried to move us towards 35 years ago...
