1. I don't know but boy, can they garner some support! Ninety-two thousand |
|
signatures! Hell, we only get 5,000 - 8,000 for some of the ones we sign.
I'm interested to see if this did run, I hope so. Thanks for posting it.
And, just to add, my friend and her husband just headed to Australia for four weeks and I told her to tell everybody that we were supporting Julian Assange!

and the ad (just the letter part) was a full page. But honest, who really gets the paper version of the NYT? I don't know. I've been getting it for 25-30 years, and it's a habit. Plus we get the educator's rate, which makes it not too expensive. So for the past 25-30 years, I take the front section while mr. frazzled takes the arts section; then we trade, and I read the arts section and do the crossword while he reads the front section and then reads obituaries out loud to me (so many intersting ones).
But I stray, because I had a Grey Goose martini and two glasses of Cloze Hermitage tonight. Yes, the ad was there.

4. Thank you, frazzled. We used to get it |
|
in all its blue plastic glory until they refused to cover the election problems in 2004. 'Way back then, there were a number of these objects outside about 1/4 of my neighbors' homes. Today, not so much. So I didn't have anyone I could check with.
