A few days ago maybe a week or two it was posted here the advertisers on the rush limbaugh show
and AutoZone was listed as one of the advertisers so I sent Autozone an email letting them know that I would no longer be purchasing any of their auto parts as long as that was the case. Here is the reply that I got in my email today. So I guess I can go back to using AutoZone as one of my options for my few auto parts purchases.

Dear Mr. Maner:

Thank you for contacting AutoZone regarding your advertising concerns.

AutoZone does not purchase advertising on Rush Limbaugh websites, or sponsor the Rush Limbaugh radio show.

If a commercial did run, it was an error.

Again, thank you for taking the time to contact us. We value your comments and appreciate you as a customer.

Respectfully,
Brenda Hudson

1. Not entirely sure how radio advertising is marketed but the commercial from AutoZone might have been

bought from the station rather than from Rushbo.

2. That's what I am thinking
They buy blocks of time and not directly from Rush perhaps.

3. All I know is this makes me very happy
I was very nice in my email to them explaining that I'm a Vietnam vet and it saddened me to learn that they advertised on the pedoworms show. I'll be replying to let her know that I apologize and that I will resume using Autozone as an option for auto parts when I'm in the need of auto parts. I'm not a mechanic working on others autos but I do take care of my own vehicles.

4. Or through an agency
I'm a traffic manager for a tv station and I can tell you firsthand that agencies will buy a bunch of time at bulk rates for multiple clients and then place the spots as their clients place orders. Often clients will have placement preferences, but if they don't have a specific "do not place" order for a specific program it's possible for an "orphan" spot or a makegood for a pre-empt to wind up just about anywhere.

5. A few years back
a university professors union was advertising on Rush for new members. Probably a local ad.

7. Good. I Like Auto Zone.
I always hate it when I find out a good store with good service is in the tank for the Republicans. I try to spend my money in "blue" establishments whenever possible.

8. This last weekend we bought a new window to replace a leaky one
and we could have saved about 20 bucks on it if we'd bought at home depot but since they are pukes giving to pukes we went to lowes and bought the window. To me the 20 bucks extra was well spent.
