Gawd, I hate these ignorant wingnuts.

19. RV tells Kansas LEg to go fuck himself. Its birthcontrol at its finest.
RV, who remembered when back alley abortions were all there was.

6. ask him if he's ever eaten shellfish
and if so, should be immediately stoned to death. Ask him what he's wearing, and if he's mixing fabrics, he should be immediately stoned to death.

Throw their absurdities back in their face, intelligently

9. For those who have been deluded by certain religions, some forms of contraception *ARE* abortion.
There are those religions that believe that the moment
the sperm hits the ovum, a little soul flies down from
heaven and ensouls the zygote.

If they believe that rubbish, then they can't help but
believe that those forms of contraception that prevent
implantation are the moral equivalent of abortion.

As usual, it's religious lunacy.

20. Funny how they forget how fluid that belief has been. In centuries past, a woman could buy off her
"sin" if she got rid of her pregnancy early enough. Of course, male souls magically made their appearance earlier in the pregnancy and getting rid of them was more expensive than female feti, because everyone knows males are worth more.

Just drop your coins in the father's hand and be absolved my dear, and do remember to kiss the ring.

11. Breastfeeding can kill babies too
Edited on Mon Jan-31-11 07:22 PM by HockeyMom
That would make their heads spin, but if ovulation occurs, the uterine lining can be so thin that (as they say SOMETIMES happens with the Pill), the unborn "baby" will fail to implant and "starve to death" (pro birth wording). Just imagine, nourishing one baby and "killing" another because of it at the same time. But then the science behind the Pill is to mimic pregnancy (can't get pg when already pg), and also nursing. Survival of the species by mother nature/god. The already born take precedence over the unborn. A lesson they should learn.

How do I know this? Because according to my OB/GYN, it happened to me.

13. If you baby is older,
and is eating solids and nursing less, it can happen. We have all heard about getting pg while still nursing, but most people don't know that nursing can also prevent implantation, espcially if periods have not fully returned (spotting/irregular). Odds then are then the uterine lining will not have returned to "normal". either.

14. is Kansas as fundamentalist as Oklahoma?
Edited on Mon Jan-31-11 07:44 PM by provis99
Or is it just something about looking at a bald prairie that inspires anti-abortionist nutcases? ("Not enough people out here: we need more babies! Ban birth control!")

16. They have always said this. I remember back to the 70's
that this was the fundamentalist stand. Birth control pills = fertilized egg prevented from implanting = abortion.
