I would like to give a gift.
I don't have a lot of money - $25 to $50 - for a child who needs a toy or clothes or food.

I saw the Letters to Santa segment on Chris's Countdown With Keith, but I wanted to offer a gift to my DU friends, first.

If you know of someone who needs something - please IM with their/your info, what they need, etc.

I bought a gift for the child of an out-of-work DUer a couple of Christmases before (under a different user name back then) and would like to do that again.

2. This is a wonderful and wonderfully sweet idea
Bless you (in a very non-denominational way ) . And I think I remember you doing that before, too :)

5. I'm a huge Al Gore fan. I live in Tennessee, so you might very well
remember that. :)

And, while I am Christian (Catholic, ehhh... sorta), I don't care what anyone's faith is - this is a matter of need. My Christ teaches me to feed the poor and not to concern myself with their religious or non-religious beliefs. The meek shall inherit the Earth.

13. FYI - I met my husband when he bought me a New Castle while
my friends and I were playing pool.

So, I, too, love New Castle. :loveya:

8. You MUST Be Very Special!
If anyone doesn't always know where to go to help people places like a local hospice could give you a clue. When disasters of this magnitude hit a family the job is gone, the money is gone and buy anything beyond the bare essentials is unheard of. But the need is there from clothes to food to perhaps a toy. With the sad shape that healthcare is today there are far too many in this position.
